With the support of other Jesuits, Pallavicino wrote extensively on Catholic doctrine which does not differ from that which was established by the Council of Trent; however, he does discuss major controversial treatises that arose from the most important ecumenical council. This work became the source and the focus of major criticism and is the reason that Pallavicino is remembered today.
