Philipp Melanchthon was a 16^th-century Protestant theologian known for his role in the Protestant Reformation. His book ‘Loci Theologici’, or more simply a system of theology, was a treatise many church reformers produced. One of his other important works was his Bible commentaries, including this 1533 printing of the Commentary on the Book of Romans. This edition was published during Melanchthon’s life – an incredibly rare work printed at the height of the Protestant Reformation!
